Some of what I've read makes it sound like most of the people who left SL due to something getting banned (e.g. gambling) took their business to the Central Grid (which is an OpenSim grid). I'm sure there are plenty more issues available on the many OpenSim grids that are out there since they are not all run by a single group so I'm sure they are extremely diverse in how the owners run them. Multiverse would help the metaverse become more mainstream as they had a 3D and a 2.5D viewer that could render the same virtual space.
